1.1. ამას ზედაწარწერილსა

უწინარეს დასწერდით თავსა

სრულისა ამის ქრონიკონისასა და

რანიცა ნიშანნი დამესხნენ, ჯუარი ანუ
8
სხუაჲ რაჲმე, ნუცა მას დააკლებთ. და
9
საუწყებელსა შინა გამოაჩინებს, თუ რაჲ
10
არს თუალი ამათ ნიშანთაჲ; ანუ პატივთა
11
ზედა სიტყუაჲ რაჲმე ეწეროს, ანუ იოტანი
12
სხდენ, ანუ ჩიტისთუალნი თავსა ანუ საუალსა
13
სადამე, ღმრთისა სათნოჲსაჳს,
14
მწერალი ერთსაცა ამისთანასა ნურას
15
დააკლებთ ნუცა ამას ზედაწარწერილსა
16
და ნუცარას ქუემოსა ამისსა.

anything else – do not omit them either. The

commentary reveals what

the source of these signs is; Whether a word

is written in the margins, or a iota (ι)

is placed, or somewhere at the beginning and in the middle –
13
“bird’s eye” (●), pleasing to God,
14
copyists must not omit even one
15
such thing, neither this preface
16
nor what follows beneath it.
